Snowflake Obsidian Crochet Earrings

Crocheted in a light gray to black variegated cotton thread, these granny square earrings hang from sterling silver earwires.  They are adorned each with a single dangle consisting of 3 beads in graduated sizes: 8mm, 6mm, and 4mm.  These round, black and gray beads are made from snowflake obsidian.
Snowflake obsidian is relatively rare.  It is obsidian, a volcanic glass, with inclusions of cristobalite. 
People today use it for gentle protection, for healing after loss or trauma, and to connect with the love of the Universe. Snowflake Obsidian is used to deepen meditation, for grounding, and comfort.
