Pink Crochet Earrings

Crocheted in a light to dark pink variegated cotton thread, these granny square earrings hang from sterling silver earwires.  They are adorned each with a single dangle consisting of a mottled pink coin shaped 10 mm bead with Swarovski crystal clear 4 mm bicone accents.  Attached is a14 mm long x 10 mm wide crystal drop.  These earrings have movement, sparkle, and appeal!
The stone featured in these earrings is probably a dyed banded agate, a variety of chalcedony.  It has a chemical formula of SlO2, and a hardness of 7/10.  Agate is common but these earrings are one-of-a-kind.
It is one of the 12 gemstones mentioned in the Holy Bible.  There is a reference in Exodus 28 of the breastplate of the Ephod of the High Priest of the Israelites, Aaron.  This breastplate held twelve stones, one being agate.   Wear agate to achieve balance in your life and bring peace of mind.
