Moonstone Gray Crochet Earrings

Crocheted in a gray to black variegated cotton thread, these granny square earrings hang from sterling silver earwires.  They are adorned each with a single dangle combining a moonstone nugget and a labradorite round bead terminating with a 2mm round sterling silver bead.  These earrings also have a labradorite round bead above the granny square.
Moonstone is a medium hard stone (6 to 6.5/10 Mohs scale).  It appeared in Roman jewelry around 100 CE, even earlier in Asian adornment.
Moonstone is an alternative birthstone for the month of June.  Wear moonstone to draw love into your life and for protection, especially when travelling (in any realm).  Moonstone has a calming effect and can help regulate menstrual or moon cycles.  In ritual, wearing moonstone will help you to feel your connection to the Goddess and learn of her feminine mysteries.
Wear labradorite, the other stone in these earrings, to learn to trust your intuition and become more self-aware.  Labradorite harmonizes with moonstone.   Wearing them together brings about a synergistic effect.
Both are feldspars with showy iridescence which in labradorite is called “labradoressence” or schiller.  This play of light attracts the eye.
